LAST KNOWN CALL FOR BELLOT STRAIT - HAPAG-LLOYD CRUISE SHIPS TRANSIT - ICEBREAKER ESCORT?

20130825 UPDATE

UNDOUBTEDLY THERE ARE DELAYS IN UPDATING? - PLEASE CHECK HERE:
http://www.hl-cruises.com/ships/ms-bremen/ship-positions/

If I was still waiting at Bellot Strait I'd be watching AIS for either ship to pass through Bellot Strait then up-anchor and know the time is running short to make it through... there is a good possibility that a Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker will be providing ice escort services for these commercial ships.

Last chance for assistance with Bellot Strait? Very possible.

ALL ABOARD!!!

The ship position from HAPAG-LLOYD is incorrect.
MS BREMEN
Lat: 70.996813 Long: -54.232538
They used to go through Peel Sound on the 19th and reached Barrow Straight on the 20th. They turned west as far as 74.708468,-97.249173 and then east to Resolute (21/08/13). They sailed then with a few stops on Devon Island to the position they are now.

The position of the MS HANSEATIC is:
Lat: 74.604105 Long: -91.031168
Hard to say what they are trying to do. They went west as far as 74.619057,-94.510448. They didn't reach Resolute. I guess what Libellule posted that Resolute is now clogged with ice is the reason for this.
The MS HANSEATIC is just heading east and it's not clear, if and when the head south. Maybe a few stops at Devon Island for the moment.

Kind regards,
Juergen
